Seniors Have Strong Showing in 5-2 Setback

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 setback to visiting Washington College on Thursday afternoon.

The Red Devils earned a point as Lexi Epstein (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) and Neve Brennan (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) posted an 8-4 win in the third doubles flight.

Senior Lydia Fox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Arlington) won the point in singles, overtaking Sarah Bruno (3-6, 6-2, 6-0).

Classmate Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) put up a fight in the third flight before falling (6-2, 4-6, 6-1)

Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) and Rachel O'Brien (West Roxbury, Mass./Dana Hall School) were up 1-0 in singles before the match was called.

The Red Devils fall to 6-9 overall and 3-6 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Haverford College to close out the regular season on Saturday.
