(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 6-3 setback in the regular season finale at Haverford College on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils earned a point in doubles as senior Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) and first-year Rachel O'Brien (West Roxbury, Mass./Dana Hall School) captured the second flight 8-5.
Neve Brennan (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) and Lexi Epstein (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) turned in a strong performance in the third flight but fell 8-6.
O'Brien claimed her second point of the afternoon, moving up to the fifth flight to post a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Junior Elisa Varlotta (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) stepped into the sixth flight of singles and captured a three-set decision (6-3, 1-6, 11-9).
The Red Devils finish 6-10 overall and 3-7 in the Centennial Conference.
