(CARLISLE, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a tough loss on Saturday, falling 5-4 to visiting Franklin & Marshall.

The Diplomats took a 2-1 lead after doubles with Rachel Flame (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) and Molly Michel (Randolph, N.J./Morristown-Beard) earning the point in the second doubles flight, 8-7.

Flame earned another point with a straight set (6-1, 6-1) win in the third singles flight.

Hanna Butler (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) won the second singles flight (6-1, 6-2) while Ariana Goitz (Gibsonia, Pa./Shady Side Academy) won the fifth, 7-5, 6-2.

The Red Devils slip to 3-2 on the season. They are next scheduled to host McDaniel College on Wednesday for a 3:30 pm start.
