CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team had a perfect run in doubles to spark a convincing 8-1 win over the visiting Muhlenberg College Mules on Saturday afternoon at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 3-0)
The Red and White got the party going with a shutout at first doubles thanks to Martine Fierro and Ariana Goitz blanking Caroline Armknecht and Caroline Maglaras 8-0. The duo of Izzy Desjardins and Lexi Epstein knocked off Sophia Framm and Rose Glantz 8-3 in second doubles, while Dana Kleinman and Molly Michel took care of busy at the third slot 8-1.
Singles (DEVILS 5-1)
Fierro had no issues at first singles toppling Maglaras in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Goitz was too much for Framm to handle in the third spot by winning 6-4, 6-2. The most impressive win came a slot later with Anabelle Armendarez dropping Glantz in a shutout 6-0, 6-0. Kleinman picked up a victory at fifth singles over Wolff (6-2, 6-2), followed in the sixth slot by Desjardins dropping Malin Hermanson (6-3, 6-2). The lone setback of the match for the Devils was at second singles as Armknecht defeated Epstein in straight sets 6-2. 6-2.
