Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Dickinson women's tennis concluded a fairly successful spring break trip in South Carolina on Friday morning with a slim 5-4 setback to Stockton University at Hilton Head High School.
Doubles (Devils 2-1)
Dickinson found success at the top two doubles spots where
Izzy Desjardins and
Martine Fierro as well as
Ariana Goitz and
Alisa Steele knocked off their opponents by identical 8-4 scorelines. The final duo of
Maddie Lindquist and
Molly Michel fell 8-3 in their match against Carlee Cristella and Kierstyn Fenimore.Â
Singles (Ospreys 4-2)
All matches were decided in two sets as the Red and White earned their first win thanks to Fierro bringing down Lily Muir 6-3, 6-1. The other Devils triumph came at the sixth line where
Anabelle Armendarez dropped Fenimore by the same 6-4 scores.
Dana Kleinman (4th) and Desjardins (5th) both gave good showings, but were not able to secure wins falling in straight sets. Steele won a total of seven games against Sophia Pasquale (4-6, 3-6), while Goitz claimed five from Sarb Devi (2-6, 3-6).Â
