Box Score BALTIMORE - The Dickinson women's tennis team continued Centennial Conference action on Wednesday afternoon with a trip to the Charm City to battle the nationally-ranked (#31) Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins University. Unfortunately for the Red and White the hosts posted a 9-0 win on the JHU Tennis Courts.
Doubles (Blue Jays 3-0)
The best chance for DC to claim a point came at the third spot where
Anabelle Armendarez and
Dana Kleinman went toe-to-toe with Zoe Hsieh and Bea Manjon before dropping an 8-4 decision.  The pair of
Ariana Goitz and
Alisa Steele picked up one game against Catharina Ausfahl and Celina Liu in an 8-1 setback. Christina Huynh and Emily Javedan blanked
Izzy Desjardins and
Martine Fierro at number one (8-0).
Singles (Blue Jays 6-0)
Goitz playing at two and Steele in the three slot both suffered the same margins of defeat to Anjali Devireddy and Liu respectively (1-6, 3-6).
Molly Michel won games in both sets versus Manjon at the sixth spot falling 2-6, 1-6. At number one Fierro dropped the first 0-6, prior to grabbing three games in the second against Huynh (0-6, 3-6). Desjardins picked up a game as she dueled Ausfahl (1-6, 0-6), while Hsieh defeated Armendarez at the fourth spot (0-6, 0-6).
