Devils Have Four Members Named All-Conference

LANCASTER, Pa. - After an outstanding 2023 season that saw the Red and White secure the second-seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament the Dickinson softball team had four players named All-Centennial Conference by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. The Devils had Zoe Kleeblatt, Abby Kohan and Riley Kuehn were selected to the First Team, while Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year Jane Lloyd received Honorable Mention.

Kleeblatt appeared in 31 games, making 29 starts posting a .330 batting average (29-88) with a .344 on-base percentage totaling 18 runs batted in, 11 runs scored, five doubles and one home run. In the field she also added 19 putouts. On the season Kleeblatt recorded six multi-hit games, including a dominant day against Haverford on April 16th when she went 6-for-8 posting four RBIs, two two-baggers and one run scored. 

Kohan had an immediate impact in her first season with the Red and White playing and starting in all 38 games recording a .270 batting average (33-122) with .336 slugging percentage notching 19 RBIs, coming in to score 18 times, three doubles, one three-bagger along with one jack. She also did some work in the circle making nine appearances (five starts) putting up a 4.79 ERA on 38 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts. In the field Kohan finished the year with a .942 fielding percentage thanks to 57 putouts and 40 assists. She had five multi-hit games, while tossing a pair of complete games. Her biggest offensive output of the year came in the first game against Webster on March 14th going 3-for-5 with five RBIs and scoring three runs.   

Kuehn made 17 starts during her 21 appearances where she posted a superb 11-5 record with a 2.80 earned run average. Her 71 strikeouts was tied for third in the conference, while her 105.0 innings pitched had her fifth in the CC. The Bethesda, Maryland native hurled eight complete games on the campaign. One of her best days in the circle came on March 21st against Penn State Mont Alto where she went seven frames of four-hit and two-run ball to go along with ten strikeouts. Then, in the a conference game versus Franklin & Marshall, Kuehn fired another complete game posting a shutout with eight K's in a 6-0 victory for the Red and White.

Lloyd is the second first-year to receive recognition as she was named the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year after playing in 37 games, making 36 starts with a team-leading .369 batting average (41-111) to go along with a team-high 38 runs scored, while adding 15 runs batted in, four doubles and three triples. She also recorded 16 stolen bases and 23 walks, while in the field Lloyd held a .987 fielding percentage with 71 putouts and five helpers. For the season she had 11 multi-hit games, including a 5-for-7 day against Elizabethtown on March 28th with four runs scored, three RBIs and a pair of doubles.
