LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson field hockey continued their fantastic season on Tuesday afternoon by having four players selected for the All-Centennial Conference Team as announced by the league office. The trio of seniors
Taylor Morrow and
Natalie Slusser along with junior
Nicole Uebele were tabbed for the First Team, while junior
Alexandra Hockwitt grabbed Honorable Mention.
Special Recognition
In addition to the recognition for the players, first-year head coach
Maggie Sohns and assistant coach Sara Reddington were named the Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year following an 16-2 regular season that saw the Red and White go 8-2 in conference play, 10-0 at home and advance all the way to the conference tournament final. Under Coach Sohns direction the Devils had the sixth best scoring defense in the country allowing less than a goal per game at 0.72 and ranked 12th for save percentage with an .839.
First Team
Morrow, the native of Marlboro, New Jersey, grabbed her first All-Conference nod after going 18-3 so far this year for the Devils posting an .814 save percentage and a 0.92 goals against average totaling 83 saves on 120 shots faced. On the year, she has posted double-digit saves in two games against Franklin & Marshall (11) and Johns Hopkins (10). Morrow also had seven other games with five or more stops helping her to a conference-best nine shutouts on the season.
Slusser, a resident of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, got it done at both ends of the pitch to earn her second All-Conference recognition of her Dickinson career. This season so far she has two goals which came against Swarthmore (10/11) and Muhlenberg (10/22), while racking up six assists. At the defensive end, she is the focal point that helps quarterback the defense and attempts to take away the top attacking threat for the opposition.
Uebele, out of Eagleville, Pennsylvania, nabbed her second All-Conference honor by totaling 20 points on the year thanks to seven goals and six helpers on 53 shots (35 on goal). She had a four-game goal streak during the early part of the season that went from September 10th thru September 20th against Susquehanna, Juniata, Shenandoah and DeSales. During the Devils three-game Centennial Conference Tournament run she picked up one goal on six shots (four on target).
Honorable Mention
Hockwitt, the native of Parsippany, New Jersey, repeated as an All-Conference performer after being recognized in 2024. For the season, she has collected two goals and six assists totaling 32 shots (15 on cage). Hockwitt also helped out on the defense notching one defensive save, while helping to solidify the Red Devils midfield.
The Red Devils continue their season on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm when they welcome the Seahawks of St. Mary's College of Maryland for the First Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at the Biddle Field Complex.
