CARLISLE, Pa. -Â The Dickinson field hockey team continues their magical 2025 campaign on Wednesday afternoon as the Red and White host the Seahawks of Saint Mary's College of Maryland in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at the Biddle Field Complex in Carlisle. First hit between the teams is slated for 2pm.

What a Season!
The Red and White set in motion for a magical season to begin in the season opener as they knocked off the ninth-ranked Messiah University 1-0 in a shootout. They then grabbed victories over Catholic (1-0), Susquehanna (2-1), Juniata (5-0) and tenth-ranked Shenandoah (5-1). The win streak reached nine to start the year off as they posted three consecutive shutouts versus DeSales (5-0), Lebanon Valley (1-0 OT) and No. 18 Ursinus (1-0). Dickinson would then drop their first of the season at No. 3 Johns Hopkins by a margin of 3-0, before ripping off five straight victories against Bryn Mawr (1-0), Swarthmore (2-1), Gettysburg (3-1), No. 19 Haverford (1-0) and Muhlenberg (4-2). They ended the regular season with two wins out of their last three games defeating McDaniel (6-1) and Washington (Md.) (3-0). The Devils would then advance all the way to the Centennial Conference Tournament final as the third seed after beating Ursinus (2-1) and Franklin & Marshall (1-0), before dropping the title matchup to top seed and second-ranked Johns Hopkins.Â
Home Sweet Home!
Dickinson has turned the Biddle Field Complex turf into a fortress this season posting an unblemished 11-0 mark in Carlisle, which includes a postseason win over Ursinus last Tuesday afternoon. It is the first time DC has won double-digit games at home since at least the 2009 season.
All Conference Honors
The trio of seniors Taylor Morrow and Natalie Slusser along with junior Nicole Uebele were tabbed for the First Team, while junior Alexandra Hockwitt grabbed Honorable Mention. In addition to the recognition for the players first-year head coach Maggie Sohns and assistant coach Sara Redington were named the Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year

The group of Maggie Carson, Calyn Clements, Malena Malka Goldman, Taylor Morrow, Sophia Pereira and Natalie Slusser have provided vital leadership both on and off the field which has been key to the Devils success.Â
First-Year Duo
The dynamic rookie duo of Alex Hackett and Gillian Rosenstock as they have combined for 32 points on 13 goals (three game winners) and six assists.
The Rest of the Attack
Four other players have posted five or more goals with Megan McClure leading the way with nine, followed by seven each for Maggie Carson and Uebele. Sophia Pereira has chipped in five, while Erin Liggio has put up four and the pair of Alexandra Hockwitt and Slusser have two each.
Sharing is Caring
The trio of Hockwitt, Slusser and Uebele have all totaled six assists on the season, followed by five for Pereira and four by Liggio. The group of Calyn Clements, Caroline Kirkpatrick, Carson and McClure have combined for seven. Â
Between the Pipes
Morrow has started all 21 games for the Red and White collecting 83 saves and allowing only 19 goals on an .814 save percentage and eight shutouts. She recorded five or more saves in nine contests including two last week during the conference tournament with a season-high 11 coming on October 25th at Franklin and Marshall.Â
At the Nest (13-5, 4-0 United East)
St. Mary's (Md.) enters Wednesday winners of three straight and eight of their last nine with the only setback coming by a score of 7-1 at top-ranked Christopher Newport University. They arrive at the Biddle Field Complex after repeating as United East Conference Champions last week by knocking off Penn State-Harrisburg by a score of 1-0 in double overtime. The Seahawks come into the matchup averaging 3.50 goals on 22.1 shots per game, while only surrendering 1.17 goals to the opposition just under 13 shots per contest. Dickinson will have to slow down the pair of Emma Watkins and Brenna Ziegler who have combined for 27 goals and ten assists, while Briana Allen has chipped in nine tallies as well as handing out six helpers. Eleven other players have contributed goals to help out the St. Mary's attack. On the backline, the Seahawks have posted eleven defensive saves led by conference Defensive Player of the Year Jena Vanskiver who has recorded seven, followed by Safi Stimely at three and Sofia Lopez with one. In cage, Sophia Kent has started between the pipes in 16 games going 11-5 (five shutouts) with a 1.27 goals against average on an .822 save percentage totaling 88 stops on the campaign. She has notched double-digit saves in three contests against Salisbury (23), York (Pa.) (14) and Shenandoah (10). Allyson Osborne is in her 2nd season with the Seahawks program and in her first season as the Interim Head Coach.
What's Next
The winner of the Wednesday's game will head to Newport News, Virginia and the campus of Christopher Newport University for this weekend's Second and Third Rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The winner of the game will take on either Denison or Salisbury at 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
