  • A free pass to Kaden Sigmon and base hit for Ryan Thompson put two on with two down for Josh Markley. He would reach safely on an errant throw by the shortstop allowed both men to cross giving DC a 2-1 edge after one.
  • The game stayed that way until the last of the fourth, when back-to-back hit batters of Kevin Schmidt and Luke Gartland put two on with two down. That was when a wild pitch moved both men 90-feet, before a passed ball plated Schmidt for the 3-1 lead entering the fifth.
  • Two men would reach in the top-half of the frame, but Justin Marcario tapped one back to Buzza on the mound to end the threat. During the home-half of the same inning a single from Matt Torres and another error allowing Markley to reach chased Amon from the contest and brought on Jack O'Shea. He would immediately unleash a wild pitch to score Torres (4-1).
  • Following a strong first inning of relief by Peichel, Jack Marchese was summoned from the pen. He issued a one-out walk to Dylan Posencheg, before a failed pickoff attempt and groundout by Sigmon pushed him around to third. He then came across when with Thompson at-bat Marchese hurled a wild pitch (5-1).
  • Dickinson put the game away in the last of the seventh, as the first five men reached thanks to two hit batters and a pair of walks allowing two to come in. Then with one down and the bags still full, the carousel continued with another walk, passed ball, sacrifice fly and wild pitch driving home the final four runs to set the ten-run rule at 11-1.
