Mallie Thomas has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
Thomas, the native of Jackson, Mississippi, averaged 4.20 kills and 2.10 digs per set while hitting .323% in a 3-0 week for the Red Devils that included wins over Alvernia, DeSales and Ursinus. Against Alvernia on Tuesday, she racked up nine kills, four digs, four aces and three assists. Two days later versus DeSales, she put up a week-high 18 kills and 12 digs along with four aces in 3-1 home win. She ended her week with 15 kills, five digs and two aces en route to a 3-0 conference win at Ursinus.Â
Thomas and the rest of the Red Devils are back at the Kline Center on Wednesday evening at 7pm when they welcome Johns Hopkins University for a pivotal conference clash.
