Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team returned to the courts on Saturday for a pair of non-conference battles. First, the Red and White had a tough matchup with 13th-ranked Carnegie Mellon which saw the Tartans secure a 7-0 win. However, the Devils got a touch of retribution in the nightcap taking down Allegheny College by a 6-1 margin.

Match One - #13 Tartans 7, DEVILS 0
Doubles (Tartans 3-0 | Doubles count for one point)
At the top spot, Natasha Sharnoff and Merve Uyumazturk took four games off of Ancele Dolensek-Divya Venkatarama in a 6-4 setback. The second unit of Chloe Heller and Loretta Szych won one from Jane Wong and Shelly Zinchenko, while in the three slot Alisa Steele and Avery Williamson were unfortunately not able to take anything from Rachel Li-Ainika Hou.

Singles (Tartans 6-0)
Heller playing at four, was able to win the most games for the Devils in a match taking five from Dolensek. Sharnoff (2nd) and Uyumazturk (3rd) each claimed a game in identical 6-1, 6-0 defeats. Unfortunately, for Dickinson matches with Steele (1st), Szych (5th) and Sara Jaklitsch (6th) all ended 6-0, 6-0.

Match Two - DEVILS 6, Gators 1
Doubles (DEVILS 2-1 | Doubles count for one point)
Dickinson got off to a great start with Sharnoff and Uyumazturk besting Gabrielle Bassette and Emiliia Grydnieva 6-4. The Devils would lockup the point for doubles after the third team of Steele and Williamson held off the squad of Anabel Bachman-Madison McDunn 6-2. Allegheny did win one match though with Adriana Navarro and Giada Palmieri bringing down the Heller-Szych combination (6-4).

Singles (DEVILS 5-1)
Things opened up with the home side evening the score at 1-1 thanks to a straight set win for Bassette over Steele at number one. Szych (5th) put the Red and White back on top with a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Bachman. Playing in the third spot Uyumazturk allowed Palmieri to claim just one game during the match (6-1, 6-0). Brenna Bussinger dropped the first set to McDunn at the six line, but rallied back to get a 6-0 win in the second and a convincing 10-2 triumph in the super tiebreaker. Much like Bussinger, Heller was tripped up in her first set against Navarra before rallying back for a three-set win. Sharnoff closed out the match by taking down Grydnieva in three to close out the 6-1 triumph.
